Fenestration Canada will be hosting its first commercial focused trade show – the Canadian Glazing Conference (CGC) – on April 9, 2024, at the Civic Hotel, Autograph Collection in Surrey, British Columbia. This day-long event will include exhibits, education, and networking.
Education sessions will include presentations on ‘Glass Technology Energy Performance’ with industry veteran Geoff Shellard, PNW Architectural Design Manager for Guardian Glass. Don Welsh MBA from TORMAX Canada Inc. will delve into the world of ‘Automated Entrances’ and explore a wide range of pedestrian automatic doors.
Casey Anderson, Marketing Manager at ICD High Performance Coatings + Chemistries will cover ‘Silicone Coatings: A guide to specifying spandrel and backpainted glass.’ Layton Consulting’s Anton Van Dyk is set to speak on ‘The Engineering Process; Before or After You Quote a Project.’ Van Dyk’s presentation will cover the story of fenestration engineering and how structural engineering has been managed in construction.
Sean Pander, Green Building Manager for the City of Vancouver will provide detailed insights into the process and procedures involved in constructing a commercial building in the beautiful but complex City of Glass.

This event will be a valuable forum for commercial glazing industry professionals to network, learn about the latest innovations, and share their knowledge and expertise. Fenestration Canada’s CGC will demonstrate the many ways that the field of fenestration is evolving and highlight the important contributions that Canada’s glazing industry is making to the global market.
