Terra View Homes Named Recipient of the 2022 ENERGY STAR® Canada Builder of the Year Award 

Ontario-based, green home builder Terra View Homes has been awarded the 2022 ENERGY STAR Canada Builder of the Year Award, in the small builder category, for new home construction. 

Each year ENERGY STAR Canada recognizes businesses and organizations for their commitment to building a healthier, more energy-resilient future for Canadians through the provision and promotion of the brand. The ENERGY STAR Canada Builder of the Year Awards recognize Canadian new home builders that demonstrate excellence and best practices in the ENERGY STAR for New Homes (ESNH) program. Winners are selected based upon activities that advance market transformation towards improved energy efficiency in Canada. 

Most recently the recipient of this Award in 2020, Terra View Homes continues to exemplify excellence and innovation in the green building industry, demonstrated through yet another year of recognition. The company was selected as the winner based on its activities that advance market transformation towards improved energy efficiency in Canada and for its commitment to building a healthier, more energy-resilient future for all Canadians

Terra View Homes is an active promoter of ESNH, Net Zero Energy (NZE) housing, and green building practices. One of the first area home builders to exclusively build ESNH homes beginning in 2006, the green builder incorporates the key elements of ESNH in every new home they build. In the last two years, Terra View added 34 ESNH homes to its new home portfolio — with a commitment to energy efficiency improvements beyond the ESNH Standard. The builder has achieved completion on 71 Net Zero and Net Zero Ready homes to date as it continues work on building more Net Zero Ready homes in Guelph at its Hart Village and NiMa Trails developments.
