A Closer Look at Fenestration Canada’s 2024 Spring Conference

Fenestration Canada welcomes you to the Kananaskis Mountain Lodge in Kananaskis Village Alberta, for this year’s Spring Conference, happening May 28-31, 2024.
As Canada’s national door, windows, and glazing association, Fenestration Canada’s 2024 Spring Conference is an event not to be missed. This three-day event includes quality and informative education sessions, President’s Dinner, Suppliers Showcase, and Offsite events, as well as the Extended Experience.
Taking place during the conference, the Suppliers Showcase allows attendees to interact with the various suppliers to discuss products and services. Fenestration Canada has taken attendee feedback from past events and has added in more time for these kinds of conversations.
This year’s education content will include the Farnsworth Group, which will speak on Fenestration Canada’s ‘Canadian Fenestration Market Study.’ Brad Farnsworth will give a sneak peek at the results from the Market Study project, as well as present and discuss current Canada economic fundamentals. This survey will be available for members in both English and French and will be an important piece of documentation for the Canadian fenestration industry.
Fenestration Canada Technical Director, Terry Adamson, will lead an update session on technical activities from this past year. Topics to be discusses will include volatile organic compound (VOC) regulations, the Canadian Plastics Registry, the Fenestration Canada installer training program, and Operable Guards changes, and much more.
Jacob Carter, Director of Government Affairs with the Window and Door Manufacturers Association (WDMA) will also be on hand to present on the U.S. regulations impacting PFAS / per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances, along with a look at how Canada is responding north of the border.
Adam Buist from Natural Resources Canada will provide attendees with an update on NRCan activities related to the Canadian fenestration industry. This in-depth update will include a review of recent projects, as well as a look into what the future holds for fenestration performance criteria.
A full list of our education sessions can be found on the Fenestration Canada website.
Other events
In addition to its educational lineup, Fenestration Canada has lined up some great events for attendees, including its President’s Dinner, which kicks off the conference on the 28th. This gala evening honours the recipient of our prestigious President’s Award and provides some incredible networking opportunities.
On May 29th, guests should get ready for an evening at Boundary Ranch to discover the adventure and serenity of the Canadian Rockies. Here attendees will have the chance to partake in carriage rides, ranch games, dancing, and experience an Alberta BBQ dinner, all within a beautiful and natural setting located in shadow of the mountains.
Those guests wanting to stay for the Extended Experience can look forward to a day of golf at the Kananaskis Country Golf Club, which includes 18 holes on this scenic course.
